The Denise Albert school group’s first day back went off without a hitch. Located in the new eco-neighborhood of the Kodak wasteland in Sevran (93), the project by architects A5A is set between the existing suburban fabric and future buildings. TRANS-FAIRE, as BET HQE project manager, led the environmental approach of the facility, from competition to commissioning.

Optimizing comfort of use and limiting environmental impact include :

  • Reduced carbon footprint of materials used (wood framing and cladding, 32 dm3/m²SHON of wood).
  • Installation of green roofs with a wide range of plants.
  • Optimization of solar gain (using dynamic thermal simulation) to minimize the project’s heating requirements (13.5 kWh/m².an).
  • Renewable energy – geothermal probe heating (PAC).
  • Installation of removable external blinds to prevent overheating in summer.
