TRANS-FAIRE attended the Biodiversity Conference in Montpellier.
This event was aimed at the general public and local authorities, and provided an opportunity to discover the actions being carried out in Languedoc-Roussillon.
TRANS-FAIRE spoke in particular on the subject of Intercommunal Local Urban Plans, or PLUi, insisting on the desirability of deploying, in these planning documents, a strategy of avoiding and reducing environmental impacts rather than organizing future offsets.
Considering the great variability in the nature of compensation (wetlands, protected species, land clearing, etc.), we also stressed the importance of distributing civil and criminal liability between the local authority that draws up the PLU and the operators of development and construction projects when building permits are filed.
