TRANS-FAIRE was present at La Gaîté Lyrique for Hugh Dutton’s talk on “Design by data”.

An opportunity for exchange at the frontier of urban planning, architecture, design and artistic creation.

This includes a detailed presentation of Miami’s “Climate Ribbon”, a vast bioclimatic urban sculpture based on data on sunshine and wind circulation, with extensive use of digital tools.

In response to a question on the use of other data in the age of Open Data and Big Data, TRANS-FAIRE shared its experience of urban design, integrating the modeling of uses associated with public transport, equipment polarities, accessibility to green spaces, etc., but also as a design principle for Green and Blue Infrastructures, by parameterizing the ecological requirements of species in an urban environment.
