From November 5, 2014 to January 5, 2015, the Cité Chaillot, a mecca for architecture and heritage, hosted the exhibition of the Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes (AJAP) laureates 2014.
This bi-annual event is an opportunity to discover architects and landscape architects under 35 whose construction, renovation or landscaping projects have caught the attention of the jury appointed by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
Each architect or landscape designer exhibits three projects and a personal object illustrating their work.
The opportunity arose to visit one of the winning projects: the Châtelet beach in Saint-Quay-Portrieux (22), with its reinterpretation of traditional beach huts using trompe-l’œil wood cladding (La Plage Architecture et Paysage – delivered August 2014).
