On March 18, 2015 in Poitiers, the TRANS-FAIRE agency was present for the 3rd meetings on green roofs and walls, organized by ADIVET and CRITT Horticole. Architects, urban planners, design offices and specialists in the greening of buildings came from all over France to share their experience on the subject.
The aim was to provide an overview of the state of the art, and to take stock of the technical and regulatory tools available to guarantee the quality and functionality of our products.
In cities, the aim is to diversify the functions of green roofs and walls:
– supporting biodiversity.
– support uses such as recreation and urban agriculture.
– moderation of the urban heat island (UHI).
– moderation of noise pollution.
– improving the living environment for residents and users.
The know-how exists, and it’s up to industry players and specifiers to raise awareness among builders and managers of the challenges of the sustainable city, which supports nature and human services.
