The world’s fair, which runs until October 31, 2015 in Milan, has thought big: over 110 hectares, 145 countries are exhibiting around a crucial theme: “feeding the planet, energy for life”. The theme will be represented by a 1 million square meter exhibition site, themed clusters, themed areas and events.

The aim is to provide a concrete response to a vital requirement for humanity: to guarantee healthy food in sufficient quantities for all, while respecting nature and its delicate balances, and avoiding excesses and food injustice.
France took part in the exercise by creating a pavilion representing the potential of its territories, in the image of the “halles” (market halls) found all over France, places of exchange as well as production. The pavilion ceiling takes on a landscape dimension, abstractly evoking the variety of France’s terroirs. The films screened question the need for diversity, a prerequisite for maintaining global equilibrium.
