TRANS-FAIRE is providing HQE project management and certification for the construction of the Ecotron Île-de-France in Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours, on behalf of CNRS.

The construction site is speeding up. After an essential EXE phase, the prefabricated facade modules are installed in the workshop. With this technique, the out-of-water / out-of-air stage can be completed in just 4 months.

The project, already HQE-certified for the programming and design phases, is aiming for an ambitious profile: 4 Very High Performance targets; the building’s relationship with its environment (1), choice of materials and systems (2), clean worksite (3) and water management (5). Only one target is covered at Base level: sanitary quality of spaces (12). The others are reached at the Performant level.

This profile is reflected in the building:

  • Sober volumes and the use of wood on the façade blend into the landscape.
  • Volume of wood used: 84 m3/m²; facades, carpentry, cladding, exterior and interior joinery…
  • 100% wood-fired boiler room. RT2012 performance – 20%.
  • Zero discharge of rainwater via infiltration ditches.
  • Green roofs with 20 cm of topsoil from the site (used for scientific experiments).
  • High levels of interior comfort: natural lighting, natural ventilation, solar protection with external blinds, reinforced acoustic insulation…
  • Main contractor : Louis Tequi
Contractors: Revil (GO/VRD); Belliard (Clos-Couvert); Derichebourg (HVAC); Rovalec (Electricity); Nervet Brousseau (plumbing), Neyrat (painting), Giffard (interior joinery)
